UMass Lowell is proud to announce the start of the MISSION: ALL IN campaign. The promotion, which targets five upcoming home events, will kick off on Saturday, February 4 as the River Hawk hockey team takes on Vermont at the Tsongas Center.
Students earn points for attending the specified games and prizes will be awarded to those with the highest totals. Top prize will be a new Apple iPad with second place earning $250 and third taking home a River Hawk hockey jersey. In the event of a tie, a raffle will be used to determine the winner.
Participating students need to sign in at the student entrance for both hockey and basketball games to earn points. They can also pick up bonus points by tweeting @RiverHawkNation #UMLAllIn from the various events and/or by posting photos of themselves at games to our Facebook page: UMass Lowell River Hawks.
The campaign will be hosted on the UMass Lowell River Hawks Facebook page and the leaderboard will be updated after each event.
"This is the first promotion of its kind that we've tried," said Scott Donnelly, UMass Lowell's External Affairs Coordinator. "We certainly try to keep students engaged at our events and MISSION: ALL IN takes it one step further."
The MISSION: ALL IN marketing plan was designed by students, led by junior Rudy Baez. Promotional posters featuring seniors Matt Ferreira (Brampton, Ont.), Matt Welch (Lowell, Mass.) and Sha'nay Bushner (Akron, Ohio) are displayed throughout campus as well as table tents in all of the dining halls. In addition, links can be found on GoRiverHawks.com and a promotional video is hosted on the umlriverhawks YouTube channel.
"Our hope is that MISSION: ALL IN will create a consistent student fan base at each of our games to support our teams and their winning seasons," said Baez.
