UMass Lowell volleyball senior Allie Eide (Gresham, OR) was named the Northeast-10 Libero of the Week on Monday. Eide made her presence felt on the River Hawk backline, digging 40 balls and serving two aces in two matches that spanned just seven sets. This is the first time Eide has been honored this season; she averaged 5.71 digs per set. Her week was highlighted by an outburst of 27 digs and two aces in a 3-1 win over Southern Connecticut St. on Saturday. As of Monday, Eide has 291 digs for this season, a UMass Lowell record 1,629 for her career and ranks 10th in the NE-10 in digs (3.64). Eide and the River Hawks will retake the court on Wednesday, hosting Saint Anselm at 7 p.m. |
