Sean Cotter, first-year head coach of the UMass Lowell softball program, has announced seven weeks of pitching and hitting clinics throughout the end of December and January.

The Winter Pitching Clinic runs on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Dec. 28th and 30th at UMass Lowell's Mahoney Gymnasium through Jan. 25th and Jan. 27th with two sessions per night. Sessions are scheduled from 6:00-7:00 and 7:00 to 8:00.

Admission is $99 for four sessions. The clinics, open to girls aged 10-18, are limited to eight pitchers per session, and will be conducted by assistant coaches Kristen Mahoney and Danielle Mason.

The UMass Lowell Winter Hitting Clinic is slated for three weeks - Tuesday, Jan. 5, 12 and 19 - at Mahoney Gymnasium and will run from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Admission for the Hitting Clinic is $100 and is open to players aged 10-18.

The clinic, conducted by Cotter and hitting coach Jim Cardello, will stress drills to create lasting muscle memory for proper swing mechanics from stance to follow-through.
