The UMass Lowell River Hawks (6-6) defeated St. Thomas Aquinas (1-4) this morning, 5-0, before falling to Rollins College (19-3) by a score of 4-0, this evening at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL.  With the pair of games, the River Hawks even their record to 6-6 on the year and have just two games remaining in Florida.

Rollins' P Kristen Frame pitched a one-hitter for the Tars, shutting out UMass Lowell and tallying nine strikeouts on the evening.   The River Hawks' trio of Alyssa Bryan (Stoneham, MA), Rachel Schafler (Floral Park, NY) and Elyssa Boris (Gardner, MA) allowed four runs on eight hits in the game.

Freshman Brianna Mahoney (Billerica, MA) had the lone River Hawk hit, while the Tars went ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the third before cushioning their lead with a run in the fifth and sixth, as well.

UMass Lowell returns to action tomorrow, March 20, with a pair of games at Saint Leo (1:00/3:00) before returning up north.
