AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team • Broke school single season homerun record (12), also tied for most in the NE-10 during 2010 • Finished the year with a .333 batting average • Collected a team-best 87 total bases and amassed a .707 slugging percentage • 21 of her 41 hits on the year were for extra bases • On the mound, amassed a team-best 2.93 ERA and 10-12 record in 38 appearances on the year • Threw nine complete games, pitching a no-hitter in a 7-0 victory over Minnesota-Crookston on March 16 in Cocoa Beach, FL • Struck out 93 batters on the year and held opponents to a .269 batting average • Tabbed as NE-10 Player of the Week on April 26 after breaking the program homerun record and blasting four in one week • Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll on April 12 for her three consecutive games of allowing two or less runs and five or less hits, including a 2-1 loss to nationally ranked, No. 14 New Haven.
AS A FRESHMAN: Played in all 42 games, making 40 starts for the River Hawks • Finished the year with .281 batting average, but slugged .397 • Knocked in 24 RBI and hit two homeruns on the year • Tallied six doubles • Season-best three hits came in a 10-8 loss to American International on April 26 • Two homeruns came in each game of a doubleheader against Franklin Pierce on March 31 • Made 21 pitching appearances for the River Hawks • Pitched 103 innings on the year, earning a 5.59 ERA and amassing a 4-16 record • Tallied 88 strikeouts and 69 walks during the season • Season-best nine strikeouts came in a 6-0 loss at Southern New Hampshire on April 14 • Her .986 fielding percentage ranked third on the team.
GARDNER HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of softball at Gardner High School • Captained the squad as a senior • Member of district championship team three of her four years • Held team homerun record with eight • Voted team Most Valuable Player as a junior and league Co-MVP • Team placed second in the state her junior year • Played for the Firecracker Bad Apples club team out of Leominster • Also played field hockey at GHS • Member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: One of two daughters of Jayne and Charles Boris of Gardner, Mass • Lists the Boston Red Sox as her favorite professional team • Names her parents and younger sister, Nicole, as her biggest influences • Majoring in exercise physiology with aspirations to one day open her own Physical Therapy clinic where she can help injured athletes.
