Entering her fourth year on the sidelines following a stellar playing career at UMass Lowell (2004-07), Katelyn Campopiano will oversee administrative duties in addition to assisting in matches and practice.

A four-year starter, Campopiano helped transform the River Hawk defense, with which she helped establish school records for shutouts (nine in 2005 and 2007) and goals against average (0.85 in 2006) in a season.

UMass Lowell's goals allowed (91) and goals against average (1.11) in Campopiano's tenure was then the lowest of any four-year period in the program's history. She started a possible of 75 of UML's 80 matches from 2004-07.

Campopiano was the recipient of many honors in her career, particularly as a senior, earning NSCAA New England Region and Northeast-10 Conference First Team status.

A liberal arts major, Campopiano was also a standout academically, maintaining a 3.69 and earning such distinction as NE-10 All-Academic First Team (2006, 2007) and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (2007).

A native of Chelmsford, MA, Campopiano was a Merrimack Valley Conference all-star at Chelmsford H.S. which captured MVC titles in 2000 and 2001. She lives in Lowell, Mass.
