Josselyn Mroz, a former standout defender for UML, returns in 2009 as an assistant coach.
Mroz spent the last three seasons in the coaching ranks -- at her alma mater UML (2008), preceded by Bryant (2007) and Endicott (2006).
A four-year defensive starter at UML, Mroz helped the River Hawks to the NCAA Division II Championship in 2005. The was instrumental in the program capturing NE-10 tournament titles in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
As a senior, Mroz earned first team All-American honors by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and was named to the NE-10 All-Conference First Team.
In 2007, Mroz returned to UML to compete for the university's softball team while she obtained her degree in business administration/marketing.
A two-sport standout at Amesbury High School, Mroz was a two-time Cape Ann League All-Star in field hockey and led AHS to the CAL championship.
