Senior defender Kayla Littig (Carver, Mass.) was named the Synapse Sports' Defensive MVP for the 2011 season, while five other River Hawks were also honored by the organization formerly known as womensfieldhockey.com. Littig and Rachel McCarthy (Reading, Mass.) were named First Team All-Americans, Annie Hansbury (Plaistow, N.H.) and Sarah Wilcox (Old Town, Maine) were placed on the Second Team and Carrie Dresser (Plaistow, N.H.) and Bianca Jones (Watertown, Mass.) were named to the All-Rookie Squad. Senior Kayla Littig (Carver, Mass.) and junior Sarah Wilcox (Old Town, Maine) headlined a class of four River Hawks named Longstreth Division II All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Littig and Wilcox were placed on the First Team, while senior Annie Hansbury (Plaistow, N.H.) and sophomore Rachel McCarthy (Reading, Mass.) were each named to the Second Team. [+]

UMass Lowell field hockey will step into Sports Stadium in Bloomsburg, PA on Sunday against West Chester seeking its third NCAA Championship in program history. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. [+]
