The UMass Lowell women's and men's basketball teams open up their 2009-10 Northeast-10 Conference schedule tonight at Saint Michael's College, with the women tipping off at 5:30 and the men at 7:30. The River Hawk women are fresh off a 64-52 loss in its final exhibition game at the University of Rhode Island Saturday, Nov. 7 while the men look to maintain their momentum from Sunday's 110-72 victory over Mercy in their season opener. Following tonight's games, the UMass Lowell women host the Valley Cup Classic Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Bentley meets Bloomfield at 1:00 while the River Hawks host Caldwell College at 3:00. The field is reversed for Sunday as Bentley meets Caldwell (1:00) while UMass Lowell faces Bloomfield (3:00). On the men's side, the River Hawks host Caldwell Saturday at 5:00. |
