Camp officially started today with a 5:45 a.m. wake up call. We left the hotel at 6:30 for medicals, body fat and stretch testing at MGH Boston. After about 2 hours at MGH, we left for Ristuccia Arena to unpack our gear and prepare for fitness testing. Once everything was unpacked and guys were ready to go, we were all measured for height, weight and reach. All healthy players tested for bench press, pull-ups and vertical jump. Inclement weather prohibited us the opportunity to complete the final running test at Ristuccia. We travelled to an indoor turf arena, not sure the name, to finish testing with three 300 yard shuttles, at 25 yard increments. They had us all wearing heart rate monitors and kept track of everyones times. Needless to say, this test was the toughest by far and most guys felt the effects for a little while after. Overall, I think the testing went pretty well!

Lunch was delivered to us at the indoor arena, and immediately following the meal, we got right into team building activities with a company called Outward Bound. These activities consisted of tasks, puzzles and games we needed to complete working together as a team (very similar to what we, at UMass Lowell, took part in last season at Project Adventure). Outward Bound offered us, the players, another opportunity to meet and get to know all of the other guys here at camp. I just got back from dinner with the rest of the players at Not Your Average Joe's, and I can tell you, it's going to be an early night for everyone.

Thanks to all and goodnight from Burlington!
