A Conversation With Brendan Livingston

Just got back after a long, rough day at the golf course. We played the Open course today which was very challenging. The pins were in some difficult positions on the very small greens which made it hard to be aggressive.I started out very well and played the first seven holes at even par and was feeling very good about what I was doing. Then I made a few mistakes on the next few holes, including short-siding myself on the eighth hole, three-putting the next hole, and having to take an unplayable on the par-five ninth.

The back nine starts out with a few long, tough holes and I made a few mental mistakes. I started to get it back with a birdie on the par four 17th but followed it with a bogey on the 18th hole, when the wind knocked my ball out of the air on my second shot a I ended up in the front bunker.

All in all I ended the day with an 81 - not what I had in mind starting the day.

The good news is I didn't shoot myself out of it. If I can put together a solid round Tuesday I could get myself right back into the hunt before the cut to the low thirty two players. The scores right now are very grouped and last time I checked I was only five shots out of the 32 spot.

I hope to get of to a fast start early tomorrow morning and get right back into it on the regular course not the open course.
