Sophomore Brandon Robinson (Hampstead, NH) carded a six-over-par 78 Wednesday for a three-round 234 to lead the UMass Lowell golf team at the final round of the NCAA Tournament East-Atlantic Super Regional at the Glade Springs Resort.

UMass Lowell finished 14th in the 20-team field with a 324, which led to a three-round score of 955. Host Concord University won the Tournament with an 893, including a 299 Wednesday, which Indiana (PA) placed second with a 904 (302 for the final round).

St. Thomas Aquinas placed third with a 916 (and a day-low 294 Wednesday) while Ohio Valley (917/300) and Clarion (924/306) completed the five-team field which advances to the NCAA Championship May 17-21 in Noblesville, IN.

Robinson carded rounds of 74-82-78 (234) to lead UMass Lowell. Wednesday's round included four birdies on the 520-yard second hole and 501-yard 12th as well as the 431-yard sixth and 430-yard 10th.

Junior Thomas Ayala (East Taunton, MA) was close behind in a tie for 37th with a 235, including a 79 Wednesday. Ayala highlighted his round with birdies on the 520-yard second and 549-yard 18th.

Senior Patrick Bean (Fitchburg, MA) placed in a tie for 65th as he finished with a 242, including an 83 for the final round, which was hampered by four double-bogeys.

Senior Brendan Livingston (Westford, MA) finished in a tie for 79th with a 246 and an 84 Wednesday. Livingston was also victim of four double bogeys but registered two birdies and an eagle on the par-5 12th hole (501 yards).

Junior Anthony Ullo (Leominster, MA) carded a 246 and an 85 on Wednesday, giving up four double bogeys but also turning in a pair of birdies.

Gavin Smith of Indiana won medalist honors as he shot a three-round 215 (two-over-par), including a 74 Wednesday, to edge Ryan Terdik of Concord (71-74-71--216).
