The UMass Lowell baseball team has rescheduled its Fall Ball scrimmage with Bentley University for Friday, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. in LeLachuer Park. The River Hawks were originally slated to host the Falcons on Saturday, Oct. 3.

In the midst of its five-game Fall Ball schedule, UMass Lowell is gearing up for what promises to be a exciting season. The River Hawks went 25-21 in 2009, including a first round victory over Southern Connecticut in the Northeast-10 playoffs.

Among their key returners is sophomore Jack Leathersich (Beverly, MA). In addition to claiming both NEIBA All-Star and Northeast-10 Freshman Pitcher of the Year honors last season, Leathersich was named the number one prospect in the Valley Baseball League this summer, according to PG Cross Checker's annual list.
