UMass Lowell baseball unveiled its 2009 fall baseball schedule today, featuring five matchups from September 20 to October 17. The River Hawks will open with Bunker Hill Community College (9/20) at noon in LeLacheur Park. UMass Lowell will then travel to Southern New Hampshire University, SNHU, (9/27) for its lone road game of the fall season, scheduled for a noon start. Baseball returns home for the final three games, hosting Bentley (10/3), Northern Essex Community College (10/10), and ending with SNHU (10/17). First pitch for all three contests is slated for 12 p.m. The River Hawks are eager to return to the diamond after a 25-21 season in 2009. Highlights included a first round victory over Southern Connecticut in the Northeast-10 playoffs and hurler Jack Leathersich (Beverly, MA) claiming both NEIBA All-Star and Northeast-10 Freshman Pitcher of the Year honors. |
