Kamrass Named Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Zack Kamrass was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week after contributing four assists and blocking 7 shots vs. UNH
LOWELL, Mass. (November 4, 2013) – The UMass Lowell River Hawks' (5-3-0, 2-0-0 Hockey East) were named the Hockey East Team of the Week for the second consecutive week after picking up a pair of key conference wins over the University of New Hampshire over the weekend. The twin wins stretched UMass Lowell's early-season winning streak to four games and moved the River Hawks into a three-way tie for first-place with Boston College (4-2-1, 2-0-0 Hockey East) and Boston University (4-4-0, 2-1-0 Hockey East).

Zack Kamrass (Atlanta, GA) was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week. The junior defenseman put together his best week to date, picking four assists and 7 blocked shots in the weekend sweep of UNH and was +3. Kamrass has been a key component of a River Hawks team that has won 4 straight, including two key Hockey East wins.

The River Hawks will return to action this Saturday when they host yet another Hockey East opponent, the Northeastern University Huskies, at 7 PM in a game that will be televised regionally by WBIN-TV.
