LOWELL, Mass.
(November 18, 2013) – UMass Lowell has partnered with the Merrimack Valley Food Bank to help the organization get donations for those in need as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches. Fans planning to attend either of this weekend's upcoming River Hawks hockey games against Notre Dame are encouraged to bring items off of the MVFB wish list.

Suggested items for donation include: Thanksgiving fixings such as baked goods, boxed potatoes, canned vegetables, coffee, tea, cranberry sauce and gravy (packets, can, jar) as well as non-perishable goods such as beans (dry or canned), peanut butter, jelly, soups, stews, chili, canned meats, canned spaghetti, vegetables, cereal, oatmeal, canned fruits and vegetables and baby food. Fresh and frozen turkeys and supermarket gift cards are also accepted as donations. For more details on how you can support the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, visit them online at MVFB.org.
