Lowell, MA – UMass Lowell and Moe's Southwest Grill in Chelmsford continue to push the Movember promotion to new heights. Tuesday, November 27, Moe's will donate 15% of all dinner profits in support of the fight against neuroblastoma.
Fans can help the effort simply by joining the River Hawks for dinner at Moe's Southwest Grill, located off Drum Hill Road in Chelmsford. Players will join the fray after practice at the popular restaurant to help their own cause.
Members of the River Hawk hockey team have generated more than $4,500 thus far to benefit the Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation. The leaders through three weeks are
Ryan McGrath,
Derek McCoy,
Ryan McGrath and
Shayne Thompson. The trio alone has generated more than $1,300.
Donations to support the cause can be made directly through GoRiverHawks.com at the individual player pages for Movember. Each page has been updated with a “Well On Its Way” photo showcasing the progress of each participant.
Fan participation is welcome. If you would like to grow your own 'stache, you can make a $10 donation to register at any home game or in the Marketing Office (Costello Gym, Room 100). The best fan 'stache, as voted by the team, will win an autographed jersey. Can't grow your own? Donate $5 at a home game or the Marketing Office and get a stick-on 'stache. Anyone making a donation of $5 or more will receive a free burrito (with purchase of a large drink) from Moe's Southwest Grill.
