It was five years ago nearly to the day that the UMass Lowell men’s soccer team advanced to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal round at Dowling College.
Jamie Gillis, a junior from Billerica, MA, and Jamie Wangia, a senior from Lowell, MA, were named to the Daktronics Division II All-East Region Men and Women’s Soccer Teams.
UMass Lowell received the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Tournament East Regional and will meet No. 5 Molloy College Friday at 3:00 in Manchester, NH.
UMass Lowell men’s soccer team is expected to receive its second straight invitation to the NCAA Tournament Monday night when the 2008 NCAA Division II Selection Show airs.

Matt Dubois, a senior from Dracut, MA, was named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week Monday, the Conference announced.
UMass Lowell’s game vs. the University of New Haven, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1, has been postponed.  A make-up date has yet to be determined.
