“Carter Hutton played two very good games,” said UML head coach Blaise MacDonald. “I love the way he bounced back. He’s so competitive. He creates a tenor for our team, for sure.”

The River Hawks were 1-for-6 with six shots on the power play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill. UML out-shot Northeastern 41-to-32 on the night. Lowell had 15 shots in the first and 17 in the third.
“I’m very proud of our team,” said MacDonald. “We had a lot of guys step up this weekend. Ben Holmstrom did a great job. All the defensemen played particularly well. It wasn’t our best game; we were in and out of rhythm, but I give the guys so much credit hanging in there to get the job done.”
The River Hawks conclude their 2007-08 regular season with two games at Maine Friday and Saturday night. Both games are slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
