(May 1, 2008) Bryant University has been seeded second, UMass Lowell sixth, and Bentley eighth in the 54-hole NCAA Division 2 East-Northeast Regional, scheduled to begin Monday in Middletown, Del. The winner will move on to the national championship May 12-17 in Houston.
UMass Lowell recently placed fourth in the AIC Invitational, while the hosts finished sixth and Bentley eighth. Alex Daley of Bryant shot 72-69 to finish sixth, with Anthony Gallardo (79-74) of UML tied for ninth.
Bryant got a medalist performance from Jason Thresher (73-69) to pave its victory in the Northeast Invitational at Green Valley CC in Portsmouth, R.I. Sacred Heart finished second, while the University of Rhode Island was fifth. Bryant players also finished sixth (Scott Congdon, 74-73) and seventh (Nick Caccia, 74-74).
