Junior LF Kevin Vona led Bentley, hitting 3 for 4 with two RBI and a run while sophomore CF Brett Damato hit 2 for 4 with one run; and sophomore 2B Jason Cusamano 2 for 5 with a run.

The River Hawks broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the ninth inning. Notargiacomo led off the inning with a double, and freshman Felix Martinez (Miami, FL) followed with a single.

Martinez gave UML a 6-4 lead when he reached home on a groundout by senior CF Tim Manton (Swansea, MA), and Keene followed with a double to score freshman 2B Sean Burns (Colchester, VT).

UML chipped away at a 3-0 deficit with two runs in the fourth. Manton scored on a single by Wallace and Keene followed on an error. The Falcons went ahead 4-2 in the fifth, the result of a fielder’s choice by Vona which scored freshman 3B Ross Curley.

UML, however, cut the lead to one (4-3) in the sixth behind an RBI single by Onorato and knotted the score in the seventh on an RBI single by Keene.
