Sean Hladick joined the UMass Lowell Athletic staff in June of 2009 as the assistant director of media relations. While working primarily with the hockey team, he also serves as the media contact for the university's volleyball and baseball programs. In addition, he is the web coordinator for www.GoRiverHawks.com(.) During hockey's home contests Hladick oversees the press box, while also acting as the liaison between the media and the team. He is responsible for all hockey related press material, including game notes, line charts and the annual media guide. In his role as web coordinator, Hladick maintains routine content as well as the design and implementation of new features. Among his creations are River Hawk All Access, athletic facilities graphics, splash pages and all new web site buttons. Before joining UMass Lowell, Hladick worked as the Media Relations Intern at the University of Maine. With the Black Bears, he served as the contact for the women's ice hockey, volleyball and swimming and diving programs. He was also the secondary contact for the men's ice hockey and football programs. A graduate of Maine in 2008 with a degree in journalism, Hladick worked as a statistician for the athletic department. While working toward his degree he also wrote for several newspapers including the Bangor Daily News and the Penobscot Times. Hladick also hosted a twice-a-week sports talk radio program on WMEB. Born and raised in Natick, Mass., Hladick now resides in Lowell. |
