River Hawks Await NE-10 Tournament Pairings
LOWELL, MA (Nov. 2, 2007) – Junior OH Danielle Furka (Massapequa, NY) registered 15 kills and eight digs to lead Pace University over UMass Lowell, 3-1, Friday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball clash at the Costello Athletic Center.
Game scores were 18-20, 30-26, 30-20, 30-19.
With the loss, UML slipped to 12-21 overall and 7-7 in the NE-10. The River Hawks await Northeast-10 Tournament pairings to be announced Sunday.
Pace improved to 12-13 overall and 9-4 in the Conference and wraps up the regular season Saturday at Merrimack Saturday (1:00).
Freshman Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) led UML with 12 kills and six digs while sophomore OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CA) added 11 kills, eight digs and five blocks. Sophomore S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 26 assists.
Junior MH Korena Johnson (Friendswood, TX) added 11 kills and 11 digs for the Setters while senior S Ashley D’Agostini (San Diego, CA) dished out 38 assists along with a team-high 22 digs and seven kills. Freshman MH Sianna Johnson (Long Beach, CA) had eight kills and three blocks.
