WALTHAM, MA (Nov. 9, 2007) – Junior OH Ale Kuncaitis registered 14 kills and 13 digs as No. 3 Merrimack College defeated No. 6 UMass Lowell, 3-0 (30-26, 30-25, 30-23) Friday night in the Northeast-10 Conference Volleyball Tournament Friday night at the Dana Center.

With the loss, UML ends its season with a 12-22 record while the Warriors (18-12) move on to the semifinal to meet No. 2 Bentley Saturday. In other action, Bentley defeated No. 7 Le Moyne, 3-0, while No. 5 Pace defeated No. 4 Franklin Pierce, 3-0. No. 1 Bryant dispatched No. 8 Saint Rose, 3-0.

Freshman OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) led the River Hawks with 13 kills and 16 digs while senior MH Erin Hudd (Melrose, MA) added eight kills and five blocks. Junior L Kendra Ciccone (Quincy, MA) had 14 digs while sophomore S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 34 assists.

Sophomore OH Lisa Barr chipped in 10 kills and eight digs for the Warriors while freshman S Elyse Lorenz handed out 34 assists.
