SYRACUSE, NY (Sept. 16, 2007) – Sophomore OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CA) was named to the All-Tournament Team as UMass Lowell lost to Adelphi (2-3) and defeated Wilmington College (3-0) Sunday at the Le Moyne Invitational at Ted Grant Court.

LeGrand compiled 25 kills and 15 blocks in both the loss to Adelphi (30-28, 23-30, 30-24, 28-30, 13-15) and the win over Wilmington (30-17, 30-24, 30-15).

With the split, UML stands at 4-8 this season entering Tuesday’s clash at Bryant (7:00).

In the loss, LeGrand had 11 kills, a season-high eight blocks and three aces while senior OH Kristina Martell (Chelmsford, MA) added nine kills, a career-high 30 digs and three blocks.

Sophomore S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 38 assists in addition to 19 digs and four service aces while sophomore DS Allie Eide (Gresham, OR) also had 19 digs. Freshman OH Vicky Wong (Tewksbury, MA) chipped in 16 digs and seven kills.

In the victory over Wilmington, LeGrand had 14 kills, five blocks and five digs while Martell chipped in 13 kills and 11 digs. Rondeau compiled 37 assists and six digs while Eide had 14 digs and four aces and Wong eight kills and 10 digs.
