Hadder, LeGrand Lead UML
SYRACUSE, NY (Sept. 15, 2007) – Sophomore OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CA) and freshman OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) were the top hitters on the day as UMass Lowell suffered losses to Le Moyne (0-3) and New Haven (0-3) Saturday at the Le Moyne College Invitational Saturday at Ted Grant Court.
With the losses, UML slipped to 3-7 overall and meets Adelphi (1:30) and Wilmington College (3:45) Sunday afternoon.
In the loss to Le Moyne (19-30, 25-30, 28-30), Hadder led the way with 12 kills and 13 digs while senior OH Kristina Martell (Chelmsford, MA) had 21 digs and sophomore DS Allie Eide (Gresham, OR) 18. Sophomore S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 21 assists.
Sophomore OH Elizabeth Cheek led the Dolphins with 12 kills and 11 digs.
In the loss to New Haven (21-30, 29-30, 26-30), LeGrand led UML with 10 kills and three blocks while Martell compiled a season-high 23 digs. Rondeau dealt 21 assists and served four aces.
