SMITHFIELD, RI (Sept. 18, 2007) – Senior OH Likica Grceva had 11 kills and 13 digs as Bryant University defeated UMass Lowell, 3-0 (30-24, 30-21, 30-26) Tuesday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball tilt at the Chace Athletic Center.

With the loss, UML slipped to 4-9 overall and 1-2 in the NE-10 entering Saturday’s tri-match at Saint Michael’s against the host (12:00) and Adelphi (2:00). The Bulldogs improved to 8-7 overall and 3-0 in the Conference.

Freshman OH Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, MA) led the River Hawks with 12 kills while hitting .400 (12 kills, four errors, 20 attacks). Freshman Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) added six kills while senior OH Kristina Martell (Chelmsford, MA) and sophomore Allie Eide (Gresham, OR) led the defense with 11 kills apiece.

Sophomore S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 25 assists.

Sophomore MH Morgan Wood added 10 kills for Bryant while senior S Tiffany Garry had 34 assists.
