Freshman Hadder Leads UML With 11 Kills
LOWELL, MA (Sept. 25, 2007) – Junior OH Susan Harrahy (Nashua, NH) compiled 16 kills and 10 digs to lead Bentley College over UMass Lowell, 3-0 (33-31, 30-26, 30-24), Tuesday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball clash at the Costello Athletic Center.
With the loss, UML slipped to 5-11 overall and 2-3 in the NE-10 entering Saturday’s twin bill against Southern Connecticut (11:00) and Dowling (3:00). The Falcons improved to 11-4 overall and 4-0 in the Conference.
Freshman OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) led the River Hawks with 11 kills and eight digs while freshman OH Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, MA) added seven kills. Senior Erin Hudd (Melrose, MA) and sophomore OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CA) each had six blocks while LeGrand also chipped in seven digs and eight service points.
Sophomore S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 20 assists along with eight digs while senior OH Kristina Martell (Chelmsford, MA) led the defense with 10 digs.
Sophomore OH Alex Kearney (La Jolla, CA) totaled 13 kills and 12 digs while junior S Tori Piskulick (San Diego, CA) compiled 33 assists and 11 digs. Sophomore DS Cassie Kraft (New Braunfels, TX) and senior MB Christine Sadowski (Salem, NH) each led the Falcon defense with 15 digs and four blocks, respectively.
