UML Basketball Will Promote This Cause on February 9th

Women’s Basketball Alumnae Day will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2008.  A special focus has been added to this year’s alumnae event.  The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association is sponsoring a nationwide “Think Pink” campaign in February, and UMass Lowell has signed on to promote this worthy cause during the February 9th game. 

Attached is a flyer outlining the event for those who may be interested in attending. We’d love to pack the gym in pink on this special day.

Many of us have been touched by people we know and love who have been personally affected by breast cancer. As a tribute to these victims and survivors, we ask for your support in helping us raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.  All proceeds generated at this event will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization.  Please come out and support UML Women’s Basketball as we partner with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association to support breast cancer research.
