LOWELL, MA (Feb. 15, 2008) – UMass Lowell hosts its annual "Take a Kid to the Game Day" this Saturday in conjunction with the River Hawks Northeast-10 Conference basketball doubleheader against Bentley at the Costello Athletic Center.

Children are admitted to the games free of charge with the purchase of one adult ticket ($5). The women’s game is scheduled for 2:00 while the men tip off at 4:00.

J.J. Jumper, the official mascot of NCAA Basketball, will be on hand all afternoon with plenty of merchandise and giveaways including bookbags, posters, growth charts coloring books and t-shirts among other items.

The UMass Lowell men and women look to get back into the ‘W’ column as the men suffered a 59-55 loss at Franklin Pierce Thursday night and the women a 57-54 loss to Le Moyne last Saturday.

The Bentley men enter Saturday’s clash ranked No. 1 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll, and bring a 23-0 record (18-0 in the NE) into the game.

The Falcon women remain at the forefront of the NE-10 with a 15-8 clip (12-6 NE-10).
