James T. McGuirk
'69 (Basketball)
(1980) - James T. McGuirk enjoyed a fine basketball career at
Lowell State College (1965-69). The former cage star ranks
fifth among all-time career scorers at LSC with 1128 points.
He ranks number two in career field goals cored with 495, tied
the one-game mark of 18 field goals made, and just missed
equaling the school record of 44 points in one contest by
netting 43 against Keene State in 1969. McGuirk's senior
year found him third in scoring and fourth in field goal
percentage in the New England State College Conference as LSC
rang up their best hoop record (16-6) in their history.
