Sean Harrington '97 (Wrestling)
Sean Harrington(2001) - Sean Harrington, a four-year standout wrestler who graduated in 1997, compiled an all-time record of 125-25-2 during his career, including a 78-10-0 clip in his junior and senior seasons in 1994-95 and 1995-96.

The 167-pound Dracut native overcame an injury which sidelined him for the 1993-94 season to establish a 34-5-0 clip in his junior year.  he moved on to capture the NCAA Northeast Regional championship in the 167-pound class and placed fourth in the NCAA Championship.  At the end of the season, he was named an All-American and won the University's esteemed Cushing Award, presented to the University's top athlete.

Harrington saw equal success as a senior, winning the NCAA Northeast Region championship in the 167-pound bracket and placing fifth at the NCAA Championship.  That year, he compiled a 44-5-0 clip between the 167 and 177 classes, earned All-American honors and captured the Cushing Award a second straight year.

Harrington completed a business administration/ marketing degree in 1997 and promptly ventured to Colorado Springs to earn residency at the US Olympic Training center.  After training with the top wrestlers in the country on a limited basis, he was granted residency at the Center.  At the 2000 Olympic Trials, Harrington placed eighth in the 167-pound class.  Only the top wrestler in each class advances to the Olympics.
