The Athletic Department sponsors a variety of community outreach activities each year.  Included among these activities are:

Make A Wish Foundation - SAAC sponsored fund-raising initiative to assist with financial support to grant wishes to chronically ill children.    

Special Olympics - Student-athletes are encouraged to assist in conducting the Special Olympics.  Approximately 50 student-athletes and staff volunteer each May to help with this important  event.

Team Initiatives – Each athletic team adopts an organization or agency to support either through volunteering, fund-raising or other opportunities made available by the organization.  Each team will work with their coach and the department’s community outreach coordinator to create these opportunities.
